What it costs and how the appointment goes
Ear candling is $65. It can be booked on its own or added to a massage appointment in Oakland. To reserve a time, call (510) 229-0214 any weekday between 7 AM and 8 PM; hours are flexible inside that window.
I do not describe what ear candling does for the ear. I am not the right person to promise that, and this practice does not make medical claims. What I can tell you is the price, what the appointment is like in general terms, and who should speak to a physician first.
The appointment itself is quiet and unhurried. You lie on your side, there is time to settle in before anything starts, and questions are welcome at any point. If you have never had it done, the free initial consultation is a good place to ask about it before you commit.

These two sentences are set down exactly as the practice states them. Ear candling is a home remedy; it is not a medical procedure. Ear candling should not be used as a substitute for medical diagnosis and treatment.
If something about your ears worries you, a doctor is the right first call. Booking this appointment does not replace that visit, and it should not delay it.

Chapter 03
Who should check with a physician first, and adding it to a massage
If you have a serious ear disease, tubes in your ears, eardrum damage or an upper respiratory infection, consult a physician before you attempt this process. If any of those describe you, please speak to your doctor before you book.
If none of that applies and you would still like to go ahead, say so when you call. Ear candling can be booked in the same visit as a massage, so a 30, 60 or 90 minute session can be paired with it. Mention it while you are arranging the massage and I will find a time that fits both. Each price is listed separately, the ear candling fee and the massage length you choose. This is a one-therapist practice, run by a certified massage therapist since 1985. You speak to the same person from the first call to the end of the appointment, and the initial consultation is free.
On the day, tell me about anything you want me to know before the appointment starts, including any of the conditions above that you are unsure about. If you are unsure, the kind answer is to postpone and ask your doctor first, and rebooking later costs you nothing.
